As a school we recognise the importance of working together with you to give your child the best possible education. Partnership between school and home is essential if a child is to fulfil its potential. You, after all, have been your child’s first teacher. Between us we see different but equally important aspects of your child; we need to share our knowledge in order to educate them to the best of our ability. Parents are welcomed into school at any time, either to help, or to discuss concerns about their children. We may not be able to see you immediately but we will certainly try to see you at some time on the same day. At the beginning of each term you will receive a summary of the work your child will be covering during that term in each curriculum area. Our homework policy is designed to give you more access to your child’s education, as we are keen for you to be involved in working with them (not for them!) at home. In addition to this there are open days and termly parents’ evenings when there is the opportunity to see your child’s work and to meet the teachers on a more formal basis. |
